Blog - Zoom on Jeanne and Luis: The first travelling ambassadors

A couple days ago, the TalkTalkBnb team had the pleasure of announcing the first round of nominations for the dream job. Today, we would like to introduce two young voyagers, Jeanne and Luis. They are our first travelling ambassadors, and will be spending two weeks travelling through four different European capitals.

They will travel from July 24^th to August 6^th, and will visit Brussels, Paris, Hamburg and Berlin. On the agenda: touring, wandering, and promoting local exhanges with TalkTalkBnb! 

During their trip, you can follow their adventures through TalkTalkBnb. We'll post updates on the blog and on all of our social media pages. The whole community can witness their TalkTalk experience. 


So, just who are these travellers? 

Jeanne is French, originally from Annecy, a town close to the Swiss border. She is 22 years old and is fluent in Spanish, thanks to numerous trips taken to Latin America. She studied political science and would like to deepen her knowledge of humanitarian aid. She has volunteered with different NGOs and has worked with internationally renowned music and film festivals. She knows how to appreciate a fine wine and a classy restaurant, as well as a good taco from a street vendor. 

Luis is 22, and comes from Tijuana, Mexico, a tourist town on the US border. This is how he was able to hear and learn English. He also got to travel a lot in Canada and the US with his family.  After high school, he volunteered in Oaxaca as part of a co-op, then in Tierra Blanca in a center that offered humanitarian aid to immigrants going to the US. Now he is a studying environmental engineering in Guadalajara. His hobbies are photography and haute cuisine. 

The couple met while working in the same team for the NGO FM4 Paso Libre in Guadalajara, from February to May 2015.  After that, Jeanne went back to France. Luis made his first ever trip to the European continent the following December, then Jeanne came to Mexico for an internship. This summer, Luis is an exchange student in Toulouse and will spend a month working in a vineyard in Marmande. 


Their trip to Berlin, Hamburg, Amsterdam, Brussels and Paris will be their first roadtrip together, and they can't wait to share it with you!
